Hey all,
...wanna see Ant like you've never seen him before???
...or maybe the thought of spending a day amongst nature appeals to you???
...got an interest in vintage vehicles, perhaps???
...or simply missing your OASIS friends??? gotta admit we're all lovable!!!
Did you answer yes to any of the above...I'd be rather surprised if you didn't!!!
Clear your diary for Sunday 26th August, for the OASIS group to leave their mark on Hurstbridge, by attending the Hurstbridge Wattle Festival...
What is the festival? (Quoted from website):
"The Hurstbridge Wattle festival is a significant cultural event for Melbournians that has its roots firmly planted in our early rail history. It’s a joyous celebration of our heritage, environment and community.
Festival goers will get to view the wattles in a blaze of glory along the Diamond Creek as they approach the township of Hurstbridge. They will be greeted by a choir and have a fabulous and extensive array of activities, food and entertainment to enjoy as they stroll the township.
> vintage cars and motorcycles,
> vintage fire truck,
> Cobb & Co coach rides,
> heritage displays and sites,
> roving entertainment
> live stage
> enjoy one of many café and restaurants in the township
> activities for kids of all ages."

With 3 ways to get there, there should be no excuses...you've got the Sunday Saver $2.50 ticket which gets you all over Melbourne (regardless of whether you're concession or full fare paying) on a Sunday...available from staffed stations and retail outlets...trains run from the city to Hurstbridge. Or maybe you want to splurge and go on a historic steam train ride, leaving Flinders Street at 9am (bookings required), costing $20 adults, $15 concession, $10 children under 16, and $40 family. Or just fill up the car and drive!

Planned meeting time at Hurstbridge Station around 11am...PM me (Hilda) for my mobile number if you think you'll be later, to find us there on the day.
Look forward to seeing you amongst the bright yellow wattle blooms!
Hilda (first time organising an event, so take it easy on me, hehe!)
